Sern knew she wasn't going to enjoy the plane ride...so many memories, the last time she had boarded a plane was two years ago, the memories tugged at her heart and she forced back tears almost every second. She turned her attention to Owen who was sitting next to her "Of course, he's asleep" she thought to herself, she knew full well he hated flying even though he would never care to admit it. Her thoughts wandered to a few days earlier and their ugly argument, she felt so bad but then again she always felt bad, Owen was her rock, her best friend ...... she knew she treated him so wrongly she hated herself for it she wondered why he even put up with her? She loved him with all her heart but he didn't know that. His cheeky smile and lame jokes were all that kept her going........she felt herself drifting off to sleep alone in her thoughts, sometimes she wished she could sleep forever.
Day Shown (2, 3, or 4): Day 4

"She did great out there Seren, I told you she would do well!" Owen shouted as he walked towards her, moving quickly out of the way as the little bay mare nearly took a chunk out of his arm. "Watch yourself, you know how she feels about you" Seren said, turning slightly away so Owen couldn't see the smirk on her face. Her little mare hated men... well she hated everyone except Seren. She took the reins from Owen and gave her a mint, the little mare rubbed her head upon her shoulder and Seren softly pulled her forelock across, her little star reminded her of the stars that shone so bright at night - one of the reasons she had given her the name Star, she loved this little mare with all her heart a birthday present from her beloved mother - her first real horse, everyone had called her mother crazy for buying her with her uneven temperament but her mother had seen something special in that little mare she had an uncanny way of doing that.
She turned to Owen "Can we go now?" "Go??" "But I heard there's this after party, I thought maybe we could go?" Owen sighed he could see he had said the wrong thing again..." Please.can we not, I just want to go home, I didn't even want to come to this stupid show, you know that!" he could feel the tension in her voice as she turned to walk away, he reached out for her hand but she shrugged and kept walking forward. "Seren, please wait, I'm sorry!" she turned around to face him, he could see the tears forming in her eyes, he felt his heart break, again "Please...please forgive me, I thought this would be good for you, I thought if you saw your little mare do so well that you might find it in your heart to compete again, you know it's in your blood...you.....you used to love competing so much" "it's too soon... I'm not ready." she turned to face her little mare who was searching her pockets for those mints. Owen put his hand softly on her shoulder "it's been two years Ser, they're not coming back...... you know yourself that the inheritance can't last forever all your parents wanted was to show the world how versatile Arabians were, you have to carry on for them......it's what they would have wanted" By now Seren couldn't hold back the tears any longer she looked at Owen "I'm sorry...... I don't think I will ever be ready, please can we just go home?" he looked at her and smiled reaching gently to wipe away the tears that were now falling, he wanted so badly to just pull her close and tell her how much he loved her.....if only she knew how strong his feeling were for her.... "Ok, Serry come on, let's go home"
