Deep in the Highlands of Scotland amidst the towering mountains and fickle weather of the Cairngorms park lies an old brick yard with centuries of history to tell. Rugged green pastures with their tumbling stone walls roll into dense, evergreen forests inhabited by foxes, deer and the call of the capercaillie. Here silence and loneliness reign, mysteries and secrets as old as time itself hidden in a land shaped and marred by the tragedy and elation of over a century of operation.
Windchase is a small but traditonal Event yard based in the isolation of the Scottish Highlands, one that prides itself on a natural approach to horsemanship that has endured for decades. Windchase seeks to both produce and breed the very best horses in the sport, focusing on producing horses with both talent and temperament, rather than breed and pedigree. We seek to produce a sport horse capable of the top levels of international competition, but with an easy temperament and a ruggedness that makes them well suited for the unforgiving climate of their birth. Despite its seclusion, Windchase is home to some of the countries top riders, horses and trainers, with a recent history that has seen it catapult into the international competition scene with some of the worlds best and brightest horses.
