Relief in sight?!
A few weeks have passed again already and I cant believe how fast time flies if you have fun. I've been working with Mrs Rose and Mathew close by and I am so happy both are helping me out.
As I promised I put Mrs Rose back on a horse. The first two rides happened on my riding arena but we really wanted to take some time today and take a ride. I love how patient and calm Magdalene works with my horses and she quickly caught an eye on Pepper, who is now her set riding companion. I love the look she gives me every time she gets down from the horses back and smiles at me like a little child who had the best day of her life. I am glad that she can still work and be on her ranch. We talked a lot while working and I got to know that she and her husband had built this whole facility up by themselves. They saved up money, got to plan it out with architects and saw it growing up. The ranch really means a lot for her and she is so unbelievably happy that she got to meet me and sold the ranch to me. And I am happy too!
Also I gotta have to give a huuuuge thanks to Mat who has been keeping the youngster training all for himself so I could take full care for the pregnant girls. He finally got DeeDee into a safe saddle feeling so we could take her in our middle and on her first trail ride. She was very hesitant and flippy, but she did not break out or behaved bad. She is such a gorgeouse girl and Mathew has a hand for youngsters. It was the right desicion to put him on a horses back after he lost his bet almost two years ago. I feel he really got to like horses and the work with them and us. He also had picked up all his left clothes from Saki and Darren and lives now in a guests room in my house
We also have a new rider since a week. This is Tiffany Rose and man shes got some talent! She is the granddaughter of Mrs Rose and currently has school vacations. She loves visiting her grandmother and she missed the donkeys. But as soon as Magdalene told about the horses around the old ranch she insited on coming with her to me.
And what do I have to say, I am not really sure, I cannot believe her that she has never been sitting on a horses back before. On her first day sitting on Sia she didnt need to be lunged to understand basics and she already trotted around at the end of the day. Now, after she has ridden every day for a week, she already galopps almost like a pro rider training for years. She's gotten some natural talent and is horse-crazy. I like her positive character and I think even after her vacations are over she will visit us here. Maybe one day she will be the new competition company for Twoface, or after her foal for Sue. I can see her on every horse I must admit, she simply has a hand for those animals.
Last but not least I got you some informations on the pregnant gilrs. After Mat had visited Darren and tried to ask for informations he was thrown out. Darren seemed to be very agressive and didnt want anything close to talking. But luckily Mat got to take some papers from the breeding plans with him that he copied. I know its not right, but we somehow didnt have any other options. We already got the papers from the association Smarty and Smokey are registered and there were no informations at all about them gotten covered. It was a weird unwell feeling as we went through the breeding list but we found informations on both, actually on all three horses.
Sire for all of them is our stallion Masky but Darren has been lying to me about Sues due date. They all have been covered around Autumn last year so it will definetly not be Spring as all their due dates. I have been in slight panic at that moment as it seems like it could be any day now in autumn, thats why we had a vet visit. I was lucky that we got a quick appointment as the doc understood our concerns.
He confirmed what we read, the girls are definetly way to far in their foals developement to considere Spring as due dates. We had no clues about their pregnancy checks or health care and therfore the vet also told us it would be better to give them necessary meds instead of trusting their papers and hoping. We have to be careful and watch them, but I think they will be fine for now.
How fast it can be, so... stay tuned for some foals... maybe in a few weeks, maybe really really soon. I am so tensed now and I sometimes cant sleep because I am afraid that something bad could happen, these will be the first foals born under my ownership, it feels so great but also frightening.
To cheer you up, also a little picture of our cat. Noone has called us about her and I dont think she is missed by someone, so we decided to care for her and let her live with us. Her name is Cheshire now, she always makes us smile!
