PHOENIX HILL || I'M BACK
Natalia quickly switched up the session. RHZ Radisson was becoming bored of 20m circles and transition changes, he enjoyed more complicated instructions such as pirouettes or piaffes. She trotted the stallion into the middle of the ring and gave him a quick rub on the shoulder before asking him quietly for a pirouette. With the swish of his tail, the black horse moved easily, he looked delicate and almost as if he was dancing.
"Looking good," Anthony, Phoenix Hill's rider instructor called across the arena. He grinned and rested his arms on the arena gate. "Thanks. He's a good horse but I'm still getting the hang on him," Natalia replied. She patted Radisson's neck and loosened the reins and the stallion lowered his head and let out a long snort. He was covered in sweat, a heatwave had passed over the UK the past week, all the horses were struggling to stay cool. Natalia kept Radisson inside from eleven until three whilst all the horse flies were around because Radisson had sensitive skin and came up in hives whenever he was bitten. He didn't mind and quite liked being in his stall. All the students walked by greeting him all day long and he was quickly becoming a barn favourite. The students were desperate to ride him but he was Natalia's horse now and she didn't want him in the lesson programme. She felt he'd be ruined since he was a sensitive horse and would hate to be ridden by so many people and not one person consistently.
Natalia swung her leg over the saddle and dismounted, giving Radisson a quick pat on the shoulder before leading him away, chatting to Anthony enthusiastically.
